This Viking hood is made according to historical sources found near Skjoldehamn (port of Skjold) in a peat bog on the Norwegian island of Andøya.

As you can see, this model gives a characteristic ridge effect above the head, thanks to its 3 lines of stitching.

The front and back of the hood are sewn with a square gusset.

Two woollen ties at the back allow you to precisely adjust the position of the hood on your head.

You can wear it flush with the face, or move it forward to protect you from wind, rain and sun.

The hems seams are folded, hand-stitched with undyed linen thread.

This meticulous work will delight reenactor who love fine work.

This accessory is indispensable for the comfort of the medievalist.

The hood is sold separately, without accessories.
