"Thick" Rawhide tape for shield edging

• Tape width : from 5cm to 5.5cm
• Thickness : Approx.2 mm - 3,5 mm
• Length by whole tape : 1,54 m

Rawhide in a long tape.

The rawhide is a not tanned leather which have a big hardness.

It will protect the edges of your shield thanks to its big resistance to knocks.

You can also protect the wood of your spear.

Leave the rawhide immersed in water for at least 24 hours. It will become soft and return to its original length, and be easier to fix to your shield.

If not soaked for at least 24 hours the length may come up short during fitting.

It is recommended that you order slightly longer than your actual requirements.

During drying, it will harden.

Note :

The stated length is that of the soaked rawhide; during the drying process the rawhide contracts again. When ordering please take this shrinkage into account; it is recommended that you order a longer length than the dry length required.
