Square washers to buck Ø 8 mm rivets

• Measurements : 20 mm x 20 mm
• Drill hole for rivet with Ø 8 mm; if necessary, you may need to adjust the diameter of the rivet slightly (see below).
• Thickness : 2,5 mm
• Material : steel
• Sold without rivet

Square washers are very useful to buck the rivets on material such as leather, rawhide, fabric and wood.

You can place a square washer under the head of the rivet and another one on the other side of the assembly on the tail of the rivet which you will buck.

The solidity of the assembly will be then optimised.

Please note:

If you wish to use these square washers with my Ø8mm rivets, please be aware that these are not precision rivets, so they may be slightly irregular. It may therefore be difficult or impossible to insert the rivet, or it may fit very well.

You should therefore plan to slightly increase the diameter of the hole in the square washer using a needle file or drill bit, or sand the rivet down a little.

Adjusting the rivet ensures optimal comfort during rivet driving.
